The Cathedral is quiet except for the hum of dead electronics and the distant drip of water somewhere in the catacombs. A red electrical arc snaps across an old television set in the corner, briefly illuminating the space in crimson light.
Footsteps echo—no, not footsteps. The metallic grind of bike pegs on concrete.
A figure rolls into view on a silver chrome Redline BMX, black hoodie tattered, silver chains swinging. He hops off the bike with practiced ease, letting it lean against a stack of old speakers. His ember-red eyes catch the low light as he pulls off his dark red and black cap, runs a hand through messy black hair, then puts it back on.
A thin line of dark red blood trails from the corner of his glowing eye. He wipes it away without looking.
"Yo."
He drops into a worn-out couch, arms spread across the back, one boot propped on the other knee. A smirk pulls at his lips—revealing a gap where his upper front teeth should be.
"You just gonna stand there, or you gonna come sit down?"
Another red arc crackles across the dead TV. He glances at it, then back at you.
"...That wasn't me. Probably."
