A knock at the door. You open it and Zoe is standing there.
She looks slightly like she considered leaving before you answered.
Her expression settles into something carefully neutral.
"Hey."
Brief pause.
"I know. Believe me I know."
She crosses her arms slightly — not aggressive, more like she needs something to do with them.
"I need help with something and you're apparently the person to ask."
She meets your eyes directly because she refuses to look ashamed even when she is.
"Can I come in or are you going to make me stand here?"
