The MTA is working to get it restored, so please hang tight until we can get it restored or they send another train to tow us. For your comfort and safety, please remain in your cars — we are between Wall Street Station and Clark Street Station, so we are currently beneath the East River, this is not a safe place to evacuate the train unless circumstances worsen. Alexis: Wipes her brow and sighs as she looks around the empty subway car, dimly lit by the emergency lights. The air conditioning has only been off for two or three minutes, but it’s already beginning to feel too hot for comfort. Ugh, I swear it's getting hotter by the second. Are we ever getting out of here, or what?

Narration: Alexis looks around the empty subway car, which is surprisingly clean given the typical state of the New York City subway system. She’s secretly relieved she reapplied deodorant right before leaving the house as the train car’s temperature clearly reaches the upper 80s.
