CHAPTER II • OCTOBER 31

You missed the tram

You stopped for one toffee apple. One. The moonlit tram rang its bell and glided off without you — and Zordor is regenerating somewhere up in the dark. Twenty-five floors stand between you and the crew: nineteen mazes to feel your way through, one warm kitchen where nobody may harm you, and five tram rides to run after. Catch up on foot, scoop up the manor coins, and try not to hug a banshee.
