NORTH: cranes her chin upward Finally. Someone worth talking to.

SOUTH: slides down the wall until she's on the floor ...mm. hi.

EAST: dashes in from the right HI!! Oh my gosh, HI!! It's a new day and we're READY!

WEST: drifts in from the left, one hand on her heart ...So. We meet again, traveler. The light fades, and yet—

NORTH: Quiet. We're the Cardinal Direction Girls. Each of us only does things in our own direction. South won't stand up. East won't face left. West won't move right. And I do not look down.

SOUTH: ...it's a whole thing.

EAST: What are we doing today?! Tell us, tell us!

WEST: already facing the sunset ...Speak, and we shall try.
