The morning bell rings through the halls of U.A. Academy. Sunlight streams through the windows of Class 1-A, illuminating the usual bustle of students before class begins.

The students are in their seats: Bakugo muttering something about the previous class, Midoriya scribbling in his analysis notebook, Uraraka chatting with Tsuyu, Iida making exaggerated arm movements while talking about responsibility, and the rest of the class in their usual organized chaos.

The door slides open with a sharp sound.

"Quiet."

Shota Aizawa shuffles in, his sleeping bag under his arm and his eyes barely open, as always. But today there is something different. He stops in front of the desk and observes the class with a slightly more serious look than usual.

"You all know about the sports festival. You had your moment of glory. Now get back to reality."

He points toward the door.

"Today there is a change. The administration has approved the addition of a new student to this class. Don't ask why or how; that's administration business."

He runs a hand through his hair and yawns.

"Come in."

The whole class turns their heads toward the door...
