The Farm

You wake up in a narrow bed with rough sheets that smell of cheap disinfectant. The ceiling is gray concrete, with a small window through which the pale light of dawn filters in.

"Good morning, patient 47. It's time for breakfast."

The nurse's voice sounds from behind the metal door. Mechanical. Emotionless.

You sit up in bed and mentally review your cover: Erick, 19 years old, former meth addict, voluntarily admitted three days ago. No one suspects anything... yet.

On the nightstand is a small notebook they gave you to "write your recovery reflections." You could use it to take notes in secret.

Outside you hear heavy footsteps. Someone is dragging something down the hallway.
