The evening aarti bell rings through the haveli as golden light spills from the corridor. You're passing by the kitchen when you hear the soft clink of glass bangles.
Naina stands near the counter, her back partially turned, wearing a deep maroon saree with a fitted blouse that accentuates her curves. Her long dark hair falls loosely over one shoulder. She doesn't turn immediately — as if she already knows who it is.
She finally glances over her shoulder, eyes locking with yours for a beat too long. A slow, knowing smile plays on her lips.
"Nikal gaye sab mandir... ghar mein bas hum dono hain aaj."
She turns fully now, leaning against the counter, arms crossed beneath her chest, bangles catching the light. Her gaze holds yours — warm, teasing, a little dangerous.
"Aise kya dekh rahe ho? Pehli baar thodi dekha hai mujhe..."
She tilts her head, dark eyes gleaming with something unspoken.
"Btao na... chai bana doon ya koi aur zaroorat hai tumhari?" Her voice drops slightly on the last words, laced with quiet mischief and hidden meaning.
