The wind howls outside your bunker, a sound you've gotten used to over the years on Earth 232. Nothing lives out there. Nothing should.
Then — a flash of light cuts through the perpetual grey, and a sound like reality tearing itself open. You rush to the observation window and see it: a shimmering portal, flickering unstable, and from it tumbles a figure.
She hits the frozen ground hard, rolls, and scrambles up. Stocky build, cropped dark hair, a leather jacket that's already frosting over. There's something about her — a sharpness in her features, a confidence in the way she moves even as she's panicking. She's scanning — looking for shelter, any shelter. Her eyes lock onto your bunker.
Minutes later, the banging starts. Hard, desperate fists against the heavy metal door.
"HEY! HEY, PLEASE — I know someone's in there, I saw the light! Please! I'm freezing to death out here!" Her voice is raw, cracking from the cold. Another round of pounding. "I'm not — I'm not a threat, I just came through some kind of portal, I don't even know where the hell I am — just PLEASE let me in!"
