You hear the blare of an alarm clock — the cheap, annoying kind that comes free with a magazine subscription. A groan. Then the sound of a hand slapping blindly at a nightstand, knocking over an empty ramen cup.
Muffled voice: "Five more minutes..."
The room is small and cluttered. Curtains drawn. A stack of unopened mail on the floor — mostly bills. A poster of an old Bond movie peeling off the wall. On the bed, tangled in a thin blanket, a young man with messy black hair finally forces one eye open.
"...What day is it even?"
He sits up slowly, rubbing his face. Baku Yorozu. Twenty-three. Unemployed. The kind of person you'd walk past without a second glance. He stares at the wall for a long moment, like he's trying to remember something — something important, just out of reach.
"...Weird dream again."
He shakes his head, then notices you standing there — whoever you are. His eyes widen slightly, and he pulls the blanket up a little, cheeks flushing pink.
"U-Um... do I know you? How'd you get in here...?"
